WHAT YOU CAN LEARN FROM YOUR OPPOSITE!

What the heck is Duality and Beyond, Astrology Impressions for your well Being, you might ask? I’m glad you did!

Simply, ‘Duality’ is all about opposites. And we all know that opposites attract, right?  Well, I am taking that a step further and applying it to the journey of self understanding and personal growth using Astrology, because they also can teach.   

We are all unique expressions of the entire Zodiac. And every sign has its opposite. So your Astrological birth chart, the position of all the planets and stars the moment you were born, is your unique map to understanding the opposites or 'Duality' working within your own personality. Like why you might take one approach toward life and your friend seems to take a complete opposite one? This isn’t entirely based on choice, although we do have a choice on whether or not to know ourselves in this way.

I believe by more fully understanding your own personality “hard wiring”, if you will, it can assist you in knowing yourself in a way that can take you ‘Beyond’ those oppositions and provide you with real tools to create a more happy, fulfilling, passionate and compassionate life. Being aware of that which opposes you can help you grow and learn about yourself because it is also within you. There is great value in learning about your other half. It can provide you with freedom to be your true Self and also to allow others to do the same.

Now let’s take a look at the six Astrological oppositions and see what we can learn!

Duality: Aries/Libra

Beyond: Headstrong Charisma

Aries is known for their headstrong, childlike exuberance about life along with an “I know what I want when I want it” attitude. And while Libra’s love of socializing and constant accommodating of others is fun to be on the receiving end of, they can be so easy going that they don’t know what they want for themselves. When Libra can take the lead, making firm decisions for themselves and Aries can allow someone else to go first once in a while, the fun can really begin for these two.

Duality: Taurus/Scorpio

Beyond: Manifested Dreams

Taurus is devoted to beauty, art and refining what they can create or possess in the physical world. By placing value on only what they can see, they could miss the beauty of life itself. Scorpio’s intense determination to penetrate the darker sides of life is respectable, but can lead to an extreme need to control. This may cause their truest desires to slip right through their fingers. When Scorpio can relax and find joy in their present reality and Taurus can let go and experience life’s wonder, both may manifest all of their dreams.

Duality: Gemini/Sagittarius

Beyond: Playful Debate

Sagittarius is an adventurous seeker who loves the freedom of exploration to discover their own answers to life’s big questions. And once they have found their truth, they want to boldly share what they have learned and no one will be able to challenge them. Gemini has a smooth-talking, flirtatious and curious nature. To avoid boredom they are quick to learn, quick to love and even quicker to change their minds. If Gemini can learn how to go the distance and Sagittarius can learn that it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it these two can create world peace.

Duality: Cancer/Capricorn

Beyond: Driven Compassion

Capricorn is busy working hard to excel in life with direction and purpose because personal authority and power is what their self-esteem depends on. And Cancer is the most compassionate and nurturing person to have in your life as long as they aren’t too sensitive or consumed with what others may be thinking about them. While one is run by their emotions and the other by their accomplishments, both could build great security and success by allowing the other one to drive on occasion. 

Duality: Leo/Aquarius

Beyond: Awakened Success

Aquarius’ dream is to wake up the world through sharing knowledge and humanitarian efforts. And with such extraordinary visions their heads can get lost with the planets and stars. Leo must express their creative talents in the spotlight to prove they deserve success, praise and to be loved by all. If Aquarius can play by some rules and focus their unique ideas in a mainstream way and Leo can let their freak flag fly and support from behind-the-scenes on occasion both can fully shine.

 

Duality: Virgo/Pisces

Beyond: Utopian Imagination

The utopian Virgo pays great attention to detail, making sure everything is perfect and in order. Their number one goal is to provide the highest level of service. Dreamy Pisces is imaginative and illusive, believing that destiny and magic take care of everything, including the daily chores. Virgo could  benefit  greatly by putting down the strict schedule and taking time to dream a little dream, while Pisces could get a great deal more accomplished in a day by borrowing that schedule.

Hummm? Interesting, right? 

So Duality and Beyond is about showing the value of Astrology and learning from your opposites; both from an internal and external perspective and making practical use of the information to better your life.

You may know or meet someone who is your opposite and now be able to understand them a little better and maybe even appreciate the different ways you each move through life. Remember, that which opposes us is also within us. Anybody got a mirror?
